Mindfulness

Amy uses mindfulness tools in her yoga classes as well as in her school counseling role. Research shows that practicing mindfulness on a regular basis can enhance:

 

• A relaxed state of mind

• Tolerance of difficult emotions (ex: sadness, anger)

• Listening and responding with compassion

• Executive function skills (planning, organization)

• Healthy sleep habits

• Stress and anxiety management skills

• Focus and control
