Bio

Amy is fluent in Spanish and has traveled extensively throughout Latin America, learning how children best thrive in their communities. Amy's passion for social justice guides her teachings to under-served populations and immigrant communities, both locally and abroad.

Amy is a Boston-area Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and certified School Counselor. She specializes in utilizing yoga and mindfulness tools to enhance children and families' well-being.  

 

Since 2002 Amy's professional experience with children, teens, and families has included both clinical work and offerings in yoga and mindfulness in mental health clinics, family homes, group homes, yoga studios, domestic violence shelters, schools, and after-school/before-school programs. She has also trained educators how to utilize yoga and mindfulness techniques in their classrooms to support student engagement, positive behavior, and build community.
